Users can access the enhanced yield by staking any fully-backed USD-based stable coin (i.e. USDT, USDC, TUSD) with the protocol.

🌱 Staking and Locking

Users with Hedged can stake Hedged with the protocol and share in the protocol fees, namely the management fees and the performance fees. The formula to determine the amount that the user will receive is as follows: Total fees x (amount of Hedged staked by user / total amount of Hedged staked) x (number of months locked/36). Users can choose to lock up Hedged tokens for a maximum of 3 years or 36 months.

⏱️Settlement Time

All staking and redemption of stable coins will be performed at 2am UTC. The settlement will last for 15 minutes, during which all new staking and redemption of stable coins will be suspended. The long duration of the settlement is to prevent oracle attacks. 2am UTC is chosen due to the gas fees being statistically lowest during this period.

🔒Locking of Hedged tokens for Team, Early Investors & Advisors

All Hedged tokens accruing to the team, early investors and advisors will be staked and locked automatically to signify confidence in the protocol. The locked tokens will receive the protocol fees.
